Realize
your talent as a realistic painter!
There's
no better time than the present to learn the skill you've always
wanted to master
- the art of realistic painting. Study and improve your technique
in one
or both of
two-week long
hands-on workshops with J. Robert Burnell, an artist who
is considered a master of his medium.
In
the
Watercolor Workshops, beginning to intermediate
painters will learn to work with transparent watercolors following
examples
of landscapes, marine scenes and floral works. The workshops
will address the importance of paper selection, color mixing
using the basic six color pallete, composition, perspective,
and presentation. More experienced
painters will learn the benefits and pitfalls of using technology
to layout subjects, gaining an understanding of working from
photographs. Both classroom
instruction and informal critiques will be included.
The Acrylic Workshop is geared for students at all levels of
painting experience. Participants will take away improved techniques in the
application of paint, color mixing, masking, and final varnishing as well as
greater understanding of the use of various mediums and selection of grounds.
